Elizabeth is the manager of our Atlanta consulting office.
Elizabeth B. Hood, CFA, is a senior vice president and manager of Callan’s Atlanta consulting office. She works with a variety of clients, including endowments and foundations, corporate defined benefit and defined contribution plans, health care systems, and public plans. Her client responsibilities include strategic planning and implementation, investment manager reviews, performance evaluation, continuing education, and the coordination of special projects.
Elizabeth is a member of Callan’s Management, Manager Search, Defined Contribution, and Institute Advisory committees, as well as Callan’s Nonprofit Group. She is a shareholder of the firm.
Previously, Elizabeth was a consultant with Ellwood Associates in Chicago where she was responsible for providing investment consulting expertise for several of the firm’s clients. She was responsible for all facets of the client relationship, including asset allocation, education, portfolio and manager oversight, rebalancing, developing investment guidelines, and recommending changes as needed. She was also responsible for investment manager research and due diligence for U.S. growth equity managers. Prior to that, Elizabeth worked at William Blair & Company and INVESCO N.A.
Elizabeth earned a BA from Rhodes College. She is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of CFA Institute and CFA Society Atlanta. Elizabeth serves on the board and chairs the investment committee of the Charles H. Hood Foundation, funding innovative pediatric research and medicine to improve the quality of life of children. She is also an active member of the leadership council of Zoo Atlanta. Elizabeth has been engaged with the Rhodes College Alumni Association and served on the Red and Black Society Executive Committee.
